This European Ferrari has been in our private collection for several years. It DOES need some restoration work to meet it's potential. Our sportscar has been driven locally, and starts right up! It is a custom convertible and called the gentlemens Ferrari. About the car: The Ferrari has an original back seat, automatic transmission, and has six webber carberators. Lots of power. It has original Ferrari wheels, anza exhaust, and original gauges. The 400 is a wonderful car, very classic. Originally, it was a sedan. Ours was custom converted to a convertible. It is considered a touring Ferrari and popular all over Europe. What it needs, Some work on one of the carberators (it is leaking), (they were professionaly rebuilt about two years ago) not sure of what else mechanical it needs, it seems to drive fine, locally. The yellow paint is showing stress cracks, so it could use a new paint job, and the interior is worn in places and needs a treatment., the driver headrest is torn, and there is some peeling in top of the doors on the upholstery. The rubber moldings need to be replaced to be excellent. We have noticed minor rust on both doors, (however, not on undercarraige). The convertible top is torn in a few areas. If the new buyer plans to buy and "drive it away" , I would suggest a total replacement of belts and hoses, and a through check-up of the vehicle, plus new tires as we have not changed these items for 5 years. It has been stored for the last 2 years. About the title: We have a pink slip from Texas (not in our name) (with an open area for the new owner to complete) and a Bill of Sale document from a local non-profit to us. It is being sold AS IS, without any warantee or gurantee. We are unsure about the actual mileage as we are not the original owners. If you are making an offer on this car, please also email us your phone number. If we are considering your offer we will call you to discuss. We have added this step to prevent inherent misunderstandings between buyers and sellers. Please only bid if your are serious about this car. |
