You are bidding on a one owner, 58,111 original miles, local Southern California 1987 Ferrari Mondial coupe. The Mondial coupe is much harder to find than the convertible and are starting to become desirable. This car runs, drives, and looks great. The car comes with it original Owner's Manual and Warranty book along with the tool kit.
The paint is in overall good condition with the normal amount of nicks, scratches, and stone chips on the front bumper that would be expected of a car of this age and miles. The paint appears to be original with the exception of the drivers side door which was repainted and in the right light is a shade off. All the glass is original and in good condition. The wheels are not the metric wheels that are hard to find tires for and I'm told that they are from a 1988 Ferrari. The tires are in great condition with at least 70% tread left.
The interior is all original and in very good condition. There are no rips or tears in the seats, dash, door panels, and the carpet is original and in good condition. There is some typical wear marks on the drivers seat that would be expected on a car of this age and miles. All of the gauges, lights, radio, windows, and sunroof work. The air conditioning works but I have had it stop working only to start working 5 miles down the road so I think that there may be a loose connection or bad switch someplace.
Mechanically the car is in great condition and has been properly maintained. The warranty book has the services marked off in it up to about the 30K mile point and from there the CarFax shows the additional service including the 50K service and new muffler and converter. The transmission shifts good, the engine runs great with good oil pressure and runs right at 195 degrees wheather driving down the freeway or sitting and idling with the AC on or off. The brakes are all good and the steering is tight.
This car shows pride of ownership and is ready to get in and drive anyplace. Where else can you find a clean, well maintained, running, and driving Ferrari for under $20K? This car does not have a warranty and is sold AS-IS. I would get in this car and drive it anyplace but as with any 23 year old exotic car I would suggest coming to see it yourself or make arrangements for someone to inspect it for you.
