Our locally consigned two owner (currently Illinois registration, previously registered in New Jersey, no accident history) imported from Italy vintage coupe (manufactured January 1986 and properly federalized in 1995 by Amerispec) is loaded with all of the features listed above and also includes four original Euro low beam headlamps (in boxes), original Ferrari Testarossa owner’s manual, original Ferrari Testarossa instruction and workshop repair manual (under cellophane wrap), aftermarket Boston acoustics sound system and Alpine AM-FM multi-6 cassette, power windows, power locks, dual power seats, three spoke Ferrari leather wrapped steering wheel, newer Ferrari custom mats, center console, Radar detector, Rear Wheel Drive, manual five speed Flat 12, five spoke Ferrari wheels, all maintenance records (services performed at Ferrari dealerships) from second owner, (this auction does not include the full set of original custom designed luggage shown in the pictures), power steering, new clutch-battery and Ferrari floor mats (2007), intermittent wipers, and tilt steering column.
This classic ultra luxury rear wheel drive sports car is powered by a five speed manual Flat 12 and our consignor (second owner) indicates that it has a new clutch and he has done the most recent 15,000 mile engine maintenance pull per the norm! The present owner proudly proclaims that the red clear coat “has never seen a buffer and has at least fifteen layers of wax! It has never seen snow, rain maybe two or three times, the seats were saddle soaped twice a year. It has always been kept in a heated garage with towels under the tires and moved around inside to keep the tires fresh, and was worked on by authorized Ferrari dealers!” The body glistens without detail (see pictures) and is adorned with authentic Ferrari hood and trunk logo’s-paninfanina and Testarossa badging, and dual exhaust tips! It does not have a catalytic converter. There is a minor spray of pinhead lower front bumper-nose and hood edge surface nicks and chips (see pictures). Otherwise there are no scratches, dings, dents, or oxidation issues and the Michelin 280/45VR415 tread is above average. The custom Ferrari embossed premium leather old English tan seats have an excellent patina and no cuts-tears or punctures. The driver’s left lower back seat bolster has a harmless 1” surface wear spot. The cockpit is very clean and accented with Ferrari logo’s and two tone door panels and contrasting dash. The trunk and cockpit have a complete set of custom designed luggage.
