| You are bidding on what is quickly becoming a highly collectible Ferrari, the early production Testarossa with the single mirror and center lockwheels. This car is totally original and immaculate with little to no wear and tear. Nearly every TR that I have seen has a warped and pulled dashboard panel but this car has virtually no leather shrinkage or dashboard warping which is testament to the care that this car has received over the years. The car has a had a "major" service in early 2006 where the engine was removed from the chassis, timing belts and idler bearings were replacedalong with valve adjustment and water pump overhaul. The shop that did this work even test ran the engine on a stand prior to installing it into the car! My shop (www.rpmvt.com) did a leak down test on the engine last month to find next to zero % leakage in every cylinder. We found the percentage of leak down so low that we tested it a number of times both hot and cold to confirm what the gauge read. The compression was spot on, there was less than 5 psi difference in each cylinder (each cylinder being in the 170 psi range). The engine runs absolutely as new. The transmission shifts perfectly and there is nothing else about the car that is not in excellent working order, even the A/C works and has held a charge of R-12 for the last two years and blows cold. We installed new Michelin TRX tires on the front of the car summer 2007 and they have maybe 200 miles on them. Please note that you cannot get TRX's for the front rims on these cars so I installed TRX GT's which are the samebasic tire with a slightly different tread pattern while retaining a high speed rating (Z rated). We have an extensive service file on the car since it was new. It comes with a complete book set with pouch, tool roll and jack roll. There is no reasonthat I would not recommend the high bidder to drive this car home to wherever he or she may live. This car will easily pass any pre-purchaseinspection by even the most over-zealous mechanic. The car is sold on a current Vermont registration. Vermont like many other states does not issue titles on cars over 15 years old, for all intents and purposes, a registration (like a title) is proof that taxes have been paid and allows the next owner register the car in there home state.
