Here is your chance to own a truly unique vehicle. I've owned this Ranchero for 10 years and hate to see it go. However I purchased another vehicle and my wife says this has got to go!
Mostly all original right down to the paint! The Hood and tops of fenders were repainted about 7 years ago. The vinly roof was replaced about 6 years ago with factory material and factory style seams. I despise when you see a vinly roof replaced and it no longer has the factory seams. The bed is covered by a Gaylords hard fiberglass cover with a drainage system that dumps the water out thru the rear wheel wells. This ranchero was equipped with the factory "Explorer" option which got you dual sport mirrors,vinly top,body side molding and a plaid seat. The Original seat is in great shape no rips or tears. The dash pad is also flawless. This car is in good shape for being 34 years old! Its not perfect I wish to be honest so here is the bad. There is rust on the passenger side door bottom and in the floor pan on the drivers side. The floor pan rot is pretty minor and it started from the outside in not from the inside out. Another word lifting the carpet from the inside you would think the floor was perfect. There is also a wrinkle in the drivers side 1/4 panel by the gas filler area, it was there when I purchased the car 10 years ago. Again I beleive these flaws to be pretty minor but I want to disclose them. It smokes a little when first started then not at all even under hard accerlaration. It has a 302 2 barrel that is totally stock C4 automatic that shifts as it should. The car has dual exhaust and sounds real healthy,not sure what kind of mufflers are on it but it sounds like a V8 should. It has very tall gears somewhere around 2:79:1 I beleive. So do not expect a smoky burnout it will not happen with hese gears. Here is the codes from the door sticker Body 97D ,Color 4T, Trim-MR,Trans-W,Axle-3, DSO-16
The car is in South Jersey-Philadelphia area. It would take little work to make this a show piece,If you want a nice ranchero here it is! Not many of these left! The Air does not work, compressor functions as does fan just blows out warm air,has not been converted to 134. |
