1976 Torino Elite Original unrestored 24,4xx miles Beautiful car. All the chrome is like new. Stainless looks like new except one small ding on drivers side front wheel opening. The interior looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Beautiful paint, but if you look close you will find a few rock chips down low , which is to be expected on a 32 year old car. . Never any rust.. Garaged all the time all the time with cover. Starts right up and runs smooth as silk.. Step on it and you take right off with the 351 Windsor engine. In the 1974 production year the Ford Torino had a model called the 'Elite' which was titled as a Grand Torino with the 'Elite' side script on the car. By 1975/76 the 'Elite' was fully it's own model and no longer had the torino name on the car. The Elite came with a full compliment of gauges including a tach. Everything works but the gas gauge. I have not had it looked at. I had the carburetor gone through.. Tires appear to have been replaced at some time.. Engine compartment has not been detailed, but looks like a 24,000 mile car. Car came from Wisconsin to Illinois. Wisconsin title showed these miles and I believe from the condition of the car that they are actual, although I can not document them. It still has the dealer sticker on the trunk (see pic) and the decal on the top of the bumper which specifies unleaded fuel. VIN # 6 G 21 H 152729 65H 4 GR D2A W 2 58 translates as: 6 = 1976 ,G = Chicago assembly plant, 21 =Ford Gran Torino Elite 2-dr hardtop product code, H = 351 2V V-8 Engine (Windsor), 152729 = the 52.729th Ford scheduled for production at Chicago, 65 H = Ford Gran Torino Elite 2dr HT body style code , 46 = Dark Jade Metallic, GR = Full Vinyl Roof (Jade), D2A = white and green vinyl interior, W = C4 automatic transmission, 2 = 2.75 to 1 rear axel ratio, 58 = Twin Cities Minnesota ordering district. Comes with owners manual, radio operating booklet, dealer lit, article from Collector Car magazine and even the starting instructions which were on the visor. You also get a custom fit car cover and yes even the parking sign. Please feel free to email any questions and I will get right back to you.
