When you drive it you'll be even more amazed! This was the first year of this all new body style and the first Convertible offered by Jaguar since they ceased production of their XKE V-12 in 1974. This was a very expensive car in 1987 costing almost $50,000. Slightly more than a Mercedes 560Sl 2 seater Roadster/Convertible. This car was delivered Brand New with 46 miles on May 12th, 1987 by Keeler Motor Car Co., Inc. in Albany, New York. The MSRP (list) was $48,165.00. All these Jaguar 1987 Convertibles were custom built for the Jaguar Factory by Hess & Eisenhardt ...a world renowned Coachbuilder who were established in 1876! (They 1st started building special custom Horse & Buggys) They evolved in automobile Coach custom builders. This body style remained for almost 10 years ( through 1996) and wasn't really changed until 1997. These Jag Convertibles have already become classic cars and are very much sought after by collectors as well as the general public and are increasing in value almost every month. The lines are timeless and even after 21 years this car remains a very sleek, sporty and "sexy" looking car. It has been very well maintained and serviced. The Paint & Body still looks beautiful as does the gorgeous Leather interior. We find no evidence of any prior accidents or body work. Your inspection is urged and most welcomed.
