Auto, PS, Radio, Chrome Wire Wheels, Independent rear suspension 4.2L DOHC 6cyl.
85,000 original miles.
This car is essentially totally original with all matching numbers. Originally finished in black,
it had a âquickieâ white respray years ago which is peeling in spots but the door jambs and compartment interiors retain the original black finish.
There are some older lower body bondo repairs and a wrinkle in the nose over the inboard right headlight, but there is plenty of car here worth restoring or easily returning to great âdriverâ status.
If youâre looking for parts there are plenty of âem in serviceable condition with relatively low mileage for their age. All the electricals except the starter and fuel pump are functional.
The 4.2L engine, transmission and final drive/rear suspension are compatible with most 1960âs and 70âs Jag saloons and E type (XKE) coupes and roadsters. The chrome bits are in decent condition. The interior is still serviceable and comfortable and could be used longer with a good feeding with lanolin, and re-finishing.
It has not been registered or run for at least 6-8 years but the carburetors, lines and fuel bowls are clean and dry and not gummed up which is good news.
The car comes with an original maintenance handbook.
PAPERS:
Car will be provided with a New Hampshire Bill of Sale and a copy of the NH âTitle Exemptâ statute (RSA 261:3) which states that, due to the carâs age, NH does not and will not issue a title or certificate for the car. ALL other states are required to honor this statute, but bureaucracies being what they are, you may get the wrong clerk who interpret the regulations however they wish.
If the winning bidder intends to register and drive it, and your local auto registry clerk requires either a title or previous registration, we could potentially register, (not inspect) it in NH but all fees and costs to do so, (approx $150), will be the winning bidderâs responsibility.
PAYMENT:
Unless other arrangements are made, payment is required within 48 hours of auction end, and car must be picked up within three weeks of sale.
NOTE:
The car is for sale locally and generating interest.
If an acceptable local offer is made before there is an
opening bid on eBay, it will be sold locally.
Good luck with your bidding.
