1987 Jeep Wrangler, 4.2 liter I6. Auto Trans, Air conditioning, Tilt steering, Factory fog lights. I purchesed this Jeep one year ago and have driven it often. I have to many Jeeps and wife says one has to go. The previous owner informed me he did the following within the last four years:
Tires 255/70R15
Best Top with soft doors
New master cylinder
Front brakes including new rotors and calipers
Rear brakes including new wheel cylinders
New radiator, hoses, water pump
New alternator, starter and solonoid
Rebuilt tranny
Rebuilt rear differential
New shocks
New cat, muffler, EGR valve and O2 sensor
New cap, rotor, wires
2" spring lift, lowered transfer case and new shocks
I added the following after I purchesed it:
New Weber carb
Steel wheels
Front bumper
New front seat belts
The car is very reliable and runs well, The AC is cold and the heat works great. The tires have 95% tread left, they look like new. There is no rust other than some surface rust. Floors are 100% rust free as well as the frame. The things that need fixing are the drivers side mirror is cracked, the rear seat does not lock down. The power button on the radio is missing but radio works without it. The passenger side wing widow does not work. The windshield has a crack but it does not interfere with vision and I passed the NYS inspection. The Jeep needs to be painted. The pictures don't show it but the paint is very faded and you can see where the stickers were removed. The body is amazingly rust free for 22 years old but it needs paint. There is a small dent on the right rear quater and a long crease down the left rear fender. There are three small dents on the front hood and fender . Please look at the pictures carfully and you are welcome to come see the car in person. Call me with questions at 631-988-4846 ask for Pat. Please do not bid if you don't intend to pay or don't have the money ready prior to bidding.
On Nov-05-09 at 13:33:22 PST, seller added the following information:Ther vehicle history report is incorrect. The milage of 98,696 reported on 5/8/01 is correct. The following year the milage on 5/8/02 was not 188,066 as reported. The previous owner did not put 90,000 miles on in one year. Obviously there was a mistake. The Jeep has been in my home town for at least 15 years and has always been garaged. The accident damage in the report is visible on the left rear quarter panel in the photos. There is nothing to hide on this vehicle.
