| 1967 Jeepster Commando -
I purchased a 1970 Commando recently, and received this one as a parts jeep as part of the deal. The Previous Owner (PO) was planning to take the 400 automatic transmission out of this Jeep and install it in the 70, as my 70 is a standard transmission. I have no plans to do so, and do not have adequate storage space to keep this 67 Jeepster. My loss is your gain! I tried to turn the engine over yesterday, but it seems it is locked. PO told me that this Jeep was running when parked (in 1995), so maybe it can be freed up if enough Marvel Mystery Oil is poured into it. I am selling it as a parts vehicle only, however, as I cannot verify if the motor, transmission, or axles are functional. I make no warranty for any of those items.
The good:
The Frame is really good- not a rust belt Jeep, 400 Auto transmission present, original V-6 Buick 225 motor present, and dana transfer case present and all appear to be in good shape. Front and rear axles are present also. Front Sheet metal is good- fenders and grill are in good shape. Also has a Tire carrier and spare Gas tank carrier. Rear seat is in good shape. Floor isn't rusted out like most commandos. Clear Florida Title in PO's name. Doors in good shape, as well as rear hatch.
The bad:
Missing one spring up front. I checked on a set of springs, they can be purchased for $650 from Hell Creek here: http://www.hellcreeksuspensions.com/jeepster_page.htm and it will lift it 4 inches, like my 70. As I mentioned, the motor is stuck. PO also replaced the radiator with something other than stock. Alternator is missing. Passenger seat is missing. Passenger door handle broken off. Transfer Shifter knob broken off (how did they do that?!!) Missing "Jeepster" and "Commando" scripts on hood. Missing Jeep scripts on rear tailgate. Missing rear tag taillight license plate holder.
The Ugly:
Rust in all the usual Places- especially the rockers, where Commandos always go. I believe the rust can be fixed for the adventuresome. Rear tailgate has a lot of rust. Hood has some surface rust, one spot is deep. Hard top has rust issues around the passenger side window. PO installed gauges in the middle if the dash (why did he do this?). Also hacked up the instrument cluster, and installed a residential light switch. One of the headlights works. PO also replaced the rear tail lights with boat trailer lights.
I currently have this on my 16' trailer, and can deliver it within 250 miles for $3 per mile. I will cooperate with shippers as long as any charges for delivery are borne by the Buyer. I make no warranty on anything on or hanging off this Jeepster. I expect deposit of $500 within 24 hours by Pay Pal or cash- no certified checks etc. I expect Buyer to pick this up locally within 5 days after end of this auction, unless Buyer has made arrangements for shipping. I can store this Jeep for you for an additional 30-90 days for a fee to be negotiated between me and Buyer. Any questions? Just ask. Thanks for looking. See more photos here:

5/12/08- Added more photos today. I have it for sale locally and also have a local guy looking at it today - don't wait until the last day to bid, it might be gone! The parts alone are worth the $500 asking bid.....
