1983 LOTUS TURBO ESPRIT - Strong running and great handling car that circumstances beyond my control force me to part with. I have owned this vehicle for almost 3 years. During that time it has never failed to start or left me stranded. The car recieved a lot of major work 4 years ago by its former owner who is a serious Lotus Enthusiast. This included a complete engine rebuild which included - Bored .030 - Balanced-Forged JE 8.5-1 Pistons-Polished Crank- 104 Intake Cam with 415 Lift. Heads Rebuilt-Exhaust Manifolds Jet Hot Coated-Carbs ReJetted- Distributor Recurved - New front wheel bearings & inner-outer seals- New slotted rotors -anti sway bar bushings. Approximately 6,000 miles have been logged since the rebuild in 2004.The car is currently running matched Toyo Hi Speed Rated 225 15inch 50s in the rear and 205 50s on the front. Extensive specs and reciepts available. Also available and included is a history of the vehicles repairs etc from its various owners, which is not complete but usefull in tracking the history of this vehicle. Although the car is very clean and presentable its paint is begining to show its 25 years of age. The stitching on leather seats has seperated along some of the seams and there is a few small tears. The fuel gage does not work and the Air Conditioning does NOT blow cold air. As these cars are prone to battery drain if not used regularly, I have installed a manual disconnect on the battery. With these things in mind the vehicle is priced to sell and with no reserve. I am not an expert on these exotic vehicles but will do my best to answer any questions.
