Auction is for a 1963 Mercedes Benz 190c with a rare 4-speed on the column manual transmission, with 44,829 original miles which has been sitting in a garage for 40 years. This is one-owner car with a lot of potential and no reserve. Floors and frame are great, inner wheel wells where they meet the rocker panels starting to rust. Interior is MINT, including beautiful tan leather seats, door panels, and headliner. There is a 3 inch crack in the dash board. The doors do not sag, open and close like a cloud. No problems with hood or trunk at all. Car has brand new: exhaust, battery, tires, coolant hoses. Oil filter cartridge is brand new from Mercedes, it is almost a sin to use it. Cyl head, intake, carb, thermostat housing, oil cap all very clean. Engine itself is very clean. Engine has been properly lubed, block and cylinder head turn over like butter, are 100% not seized. Alternator/generator, AC Compressor, water pump, and fan turn smooth. Car is all there Brand new fuel hoses. Radiator does not leak. Grill is in great shape as well as rest of chrome on car including aluminum trim around windows. Rear bumper needs rechroming but is in great shape. Car has a few paint chip here and there, car has a lot of potential. All hubcaps there, need a little freshening. All buttons seem to work on dash. Trunk clean with no rust.
