Exterior
The body on this car is nearly flawless. This car has never been involved in an accident, so naturally the body is totally straight… I cannot even find a door ding. The paint looks fantastic. I recently had it detailed and it really shines like new. The paint does have some minor imperfections here and there (small chips around the headlights from pebbles,etc) which I tried to photograph, however they are so small they hardly even show up in the pictures. Without a doubt, the exteriors overall impression is superb! Most importantly, this car is 100% RUST FREE!!!
Wheels and tires are almost new. Probably 90%+ of tread left.
Interior
The interior condition of this coupe is impressive. The seats are really nice; you will not find a single rip, tear or even a hint of fading. I recently replaced all interior carpeting with brand new Mercedes wool “feintuft” carpet which really makes the interior look amazing. The original dashboard is like new… there is not even a single hairline crack to be found. All of the Zebrano wood trim pieces are like new, with no cracking or delaminating. The only thing I could critique is that the small panel in which the seatbelt retracts from is showing some age…. Otherwise the interior is almost a 10.
Mechanical
This coupe is really solid mechanically. The engine runs very strong! With only 145K miles, this turbo diesel is just breaking in. The acceleration is smooth, steering is tight and the transmission shifts flawlessly. Without fail the engine starts right up with no smoking, even when cold. It performs well, even at high speeds and through windy canyon roads. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, even across the country. All of this coupes controls, accesories function properly. Even the cruise control still works. The air conditioning system works perfectly. It still runs on R12, and was recently serviced so that it would be ready for summer. This car has been serviced recently ensuring it will be ready for it's new owner. This coupe is ready to go and needs nothing!
These gorgeous coupes are quite rare….Mercedes only built 8007 of them. These classics are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in such wonderful condition and low mileage. Deposit: The winning bidder must pay a $500.00 non refundable deposit via Pay Pal within 48 hours end of auction.
Payment: The balance must be paid in cash or certified bank cashiers check, or bank wire transfer, preferably within 7 days.
Shipping: We will gladly assist with shipping arrangements. We will even be happy to drop the car for you at the DAS terminal in Los Angeles, should you decide to use them. Buyer assumes full responsibility for shipping.
