DESCRIPTION:
* This is the 1st time this vehicle has been offered on eBay. If you always wanted to buy a vintage automobile but thought you could not afford one, your opportunity has arrived to buy one for less than some used Ford Escorts or other simular type car.
* This vehicle is one of some 350-1940s-1980s surplus vehicles that are part of an estate, an ex-museum display and others that must be sold ASAP. Conditions range from beauties to projects. Some may be most valuable for parts/donor cars for other restorations. A listing of vehicles is in midst of being prepared. If you are seeking to buy one of the vehicles, we will list on ebay for you.
*One of the off-site outside storage facilities is expanding their inside storage buildings and we will have to remove the cars. Rather than move them, the wisest and any maybe the most expediant thing to do is to sell them. We hope not to have to scrap anything BUT if need be, will remove some of the more valuable parts & the rest will go to the scrapper. Since most of the vehicles are heavy weights (some limousines,big luxury cars, etc),at the current price per ton for scrap cars, the prices are tempting.If you need a particular car or major part, time is of the essance-contact us & we'll put it on ebay.
*This Mercedes Benz appears to be Europen Model with big glass style covered headlights. It's loaded model including a V8, automatic transmission, aiir, radio, full power, etc. it even has wood trim, leather (could be vinyl but we think its leather), etc.
*We are not Import car experts and come from General Motors roots. However, they went through a foreign car phase and drove this V8 Mercedes Benz back from Wisconsin several years ago and it was stored until they drove it to the current facility. Although it started, ran and drove, it developed a transmission leak and fluid had to be added the last time they moved it about 2 years ago. It has not been started or moved since as it was blocked in by other cars. It is now accessable. Since we have so much to do in such a limited time-frame and we have no mechanics available,the mechanical condition of most of the cars is basically unkown.
*Bidders/buyers are strongly advised to come inspect the vehicle(s) prior to bidding or at least no later than 10 days of close of auction when finalizing the transaction. Free storage is available up to 30 days from close of auction as long as the 1/3 of final bid down payment (minimum $500.00) is paid within 3 days of close of auction and the balance is paid in full within 10 days of close of auction.

Collector Cars-U-Can-Afford, Ltd is based in the Rockford, Illinois area since 1992 and is an off shoot of family automobile business from the area dating back to 1913.
There are some 1000+/- vehicles available from an extremely rare 1925 Flint Touring car, restored (179 first places including Seniors at Hershey AACA meet) 1940s motorcycles(1948 Indian Roadmaster Chief, 1947 Norton B-3, and 1948 CZ with 7 actual miles), vintage Mopeds, some with less than 10 actual miles, 1957 Cadillac alunimum boat, to vehicles as new as 2000 ( a Daewoo Wagon Charity car) with most dating in the 1950s-1980s period from projects to National AACA senior trophy winners.
Although mostly GMs (heavy in Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles/Pontiacs and some Chevrolets) the collection also includes many Packards including several 1940-1953 Henney commercial vehicles), some Nashes, 1929-1936 J Duesenberg items, and Lincols & others from as old as the 1940s. A majority of the vehicles offered are from the estate of a long time GM dealer's family, an ex-museum display and others with some benifitting charitable organizations. Collector Cars, Ltd acting in capacity only as a sales agent for the vehicles offered does not necessarilly have an ownership interest in the vehicle(s) offered.
