Description:

Up for auction is a 1974 Mercedes Benz 450SEL. It has been inspected by our mechanics and was found to be running and driving; however, it has ignition problems and fuel problems. This vehicle must be towed away on a flat bed. There may be other issues as well that we are not aware of. This would be a good restoration project. It features the 4.5L V8 that produced 222hp. Not bad for a luxury sedan in 1974. In fact, it was good enough to get the 450SEL awarded European Car of the Year in 1974. Both the interior and exterior are in need of work. The body has a significant amount of damage to it. This would also make a good donor car if you already had a 450 in the restoration process. Though the interior needs to be re-upholstered the seats do not show any signs of structural damage and the interior is complete. Or if you were looking for a motor for a 450 you could pull this one and rebuild it before transplanting it into your new shell. The glass around the vehicle is in good condition for its age as well. The registration for this car expires 5/08 and there are back fees in the estimated amount of $61. It has an Application for Duplicate Title which means there is no title in our possession and it must be applied for â€“ if you are bidding from out of State or outside the U.S., please be aware that you may need to first title/register in California in order to title or export to your state/country of residence.

We reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply to all of our auctions.

Payment Terms:
The successful high bidder must submit a non-refundable 25% deposit deposit within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle.

Deposit can be made over the phone with a credit card or with PayPal.

Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction. Any other arrangements must be agreed to before bidding.

In order to complete all financial transactions and paperwork, the buyer MUST provide a valid form of picture identification (Passport or Drivers License). All financial transactions and paperwork must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. The vehicle's transfer paperwork must be signed by the buyer prior to pick up or shipping. The shipping company cannot sign for you. If you cannot be there in person to sign these documents we can assist you by fax or email.

Vehicle inspections must take place PRIOR to bidding and end of auction. By bidding without formally inspecting this car, you understand that issues overlooked and not described in the description are not grounds for cancelling this sale. Your bid is your acceptance of this vehicle AS-IS.

FAILURE to comply with any of the terms will result in forfeiture of deposit and ownership rights to this vehicle. Vehicles are relisted on eBay if complete payment and paperwork are not completed within 7 days. Negative feedback will be left!

Shipping is responsibility of the buyer - we do not offer or arrange shipping! Vehicle must be picked up from our location in Santa Paula, CA 93060. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.

New bidders/Zero Feedback Bidders:
If you are newly registered with eBay or have zero feedback - you must email us with your name, phone number and ebay user ID prior to bidding. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your bids.

Additional Terms:
After sale ends, winning bidder will have 7 days to complete sale. If you can't pick up this car within 7 days, you must still send full payment within the 7 days...Cars 4 CausesÂ® will hold the car for you (10 days storage included with the sale, $10.00 per day afterwards) while you make arrangements to pick up this car!

This vehicle is sold as a complete vehicle - parts will not be removed or sold seperately.

This auction will close at its scheduled time to the high bidder (provided the reserve is met) - no exceptions. However, we still reserve the right to cancel any auction due to listing errors.

Winning bidder will get ownership documents, and a bill of sale disclosing the winning bid. Winner will then be responsible for any tax and license fees (including back fees, if applicable). Winning bidder will be responsible for titling/registering this car on their own! Additional fees may be due to the proper agencies (tax, license, back fees).

PLEASE NOTE -If we have disclosed this car as a running/driving car, that simply means that we are able to start it and drive it at parking lot speeds and the car stops well. This is a donated vehicle, and we generally have a very limited history. As a result, we do not gaurantee any car to perform in any manner. We strongly recommend you inspect the vehicle you would like to bid on BEFORE bidding. We also recommend you tow your vehicle away and have it inspected before driving - regardless of condition. Should you choose to drive your vehicle from our location, then you do so completely at your own risk.
