1975 Mercury Comet 2 door, 6 cylinder in really good shape! Automatic Transmission, Power Steering. Brand New Wheels &Tires. They have less than 150 miles on them. It drives really good down the road. I had an alignment done when I had the wheels & tires put on. Transmission shifts perfectly! Power steering & brakes are excellant! The motor is a typical 70's 6 cylinder that uses oil & leaks oil somewhere around the valve covers. I think it needs a new ignition- this one is sloppy. Engine starts right up! I run all over town in it. It's fun to drive. I've had the car a couple of years. I think the A/C would work if it was charged up. You can hear the compressor kick on when you turn it on, but it just doesn't get very cold. Seems like the fan only blows through the defrost vents. Seat belts & windshield wipers work good. There is a crack in the front windshield.
I haven't really explored it for rust, but I think the pictures speak for themselves- the body seems straight- everything appears original except for the wheels. It's a good dependable little car. My husband bought it for me as an easy restore project. I like it like it is, but I don't really need it.
