1949 Mercury Club Coupe: This car belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He restored this car about 10 years ago, to his satisfaction. It is a DRIVER QUALITY CAR. The Mercs are highly sought after ICONS of America's past! This is a car that you can enjoy as is, do some small upgrades to or even totally redo to your taste. I am not looking for $100,000 like most of the owners of these cars. Simply trying to sell for the wife of my past friend at a realistic price. The reserve is set at a reasonable amount that some people will consider cheap for one of these cars. I will be adding more photos this week. If you need more specific information, just ask! I will give out my phone numbers to seriously interested parties, just email and let me know! The car has a very good body with only minor rust repair. It drives very good and goes down the road straight! It has a Camaro subframe (done right) with 350 Chevrolet engine, 350 turbo transmission and 10 bolt posi GM rear axle. Car has power steering, power brakes and working 1960s era underdash Mercury air conditioning! Power windows, tilt steering. AM/ FM cassette stereo. The car is fixed ride height with air shocks on rear. All stainless steel moldings and grille have been refinished. Bumpers and bumper guards have been replated. The roof has not been chopped. Interior is tweed - gray and red on the original seats - front and rear. Please let me know if you have any questions. Buyer is responsible for transportation cost and arrangements. A $1000 deposit is required withing 7 days of end of auction. Balance must be paid within 14 days of end of auction. Car must be picked up within 14 days of end of auction.
