I have owned this car since 1985. It has always been in a separate garage, and never seen rain. When first purchased I used to drive and show it, and it won a few trophies. No time to enjoy it so it is time to sell. Car has been driven very sparingly for the last 15 years.
This is a restored car in great condition. Paint is very bright and shiny, but the car has been driven. Interior is in great condition, with a split seam on the drivers seat, for what I believe to be the original seats. Carpet is new and the top is in great condition with clear windows.
The engine was professionally rebuilt in 1985 upon purchase and only has a few thousand miles on it. Clutch was replaced then also. I added an oil cooler as MG A's typically run hot, and it works well. Engine starts right up and the car drives well. Over the last 23 years I have replaced some parts, but nothing major. I changed the speedometer and temprature gauge, so I don't know the true milage.Again the car starts right up and drives well. Frame, floor and body - no rust - clean and solid.
Also with the car are the side curtain windows, and the book with pictures from the person who did the restoration. Also a box with misc. hardware and parts.
Reserve is set at a fair price for the quality of this car. Sorry the pictures are not better but my camera is older than the car.
