Ford : Mustang MACH 1 MACH 1 Q CODE 4 SPEED FANTASTICALLY RESTORED FASTBACK

By 1972 the Muscle Cars from Detroit were nearing the end of their run but the Pony Car wars were heating up. In 1971 Ford completely redesigned the Mustang from the ground up. The top of the line in 1972 was the Mach 1 like you see here. Not much was needed to refurbish this low mileage Pony as it has under 70,000 miles on it. (sold exempt due to age) It is Marti Report documented and has some very desirable options. It came from the factory with the powerful Q code 351 Cobra Jet V-8 engine, 4 barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, and a 4-speed transmission. They only built 27,675 Mach 1 Sports-Roof models in 72 and only 2262 with this power-train combo. That makes it a rare car indeed. It has beautiful new paint, trim, and chrome. The report indicates is came with the convenience group, rim blow deluxe steering wheel, sport deck rear folding seat, power front disc brakes, console, Mach 1 interior, and 3.50 rear axle ratio. This car is tight and drives fantastic. The suspension is enhanced with the addition of 15 inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels with period correct Goodyear F-60-15 raised white letter bias ply tires. The black, bucket seat interior is super nice with red accents on the front seats with matching molded in red floor mats. The trunk and motor compartments are show quality and nicely detailed. Every thing looks stock with factory assembly stickers adorned all over. It also features all the cool Mach 1 stripes, blacked out hood treatment with dual scoops, front chin spoiler, sport lamps, blacked out grille, and rear adjustable wing. The chrome rear tips peak out from under the rear valance cut outs. This is a very nice car that runs great and is fun to drive. It is ready to enjoy!
