Up for bid is a 1968 Oldsmobile Delta Custom. This car was originally sold to Hoyle
Cadillac Oldsmobile in Delray Beach Florida and I bought it out of Tennessee.
Consequently, this car has no serious rust, just some surface issues. It has a 455ci engine (I was told a 365 horse
engine) backed by a TH400 3 speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with factory air
conditioning. I never put a belt on the
compressor, but it does spin freely and all the components appear to be
there. The factory vinyl top was removed
before I bought the car and I painted the roof white to keep it cooler
inside. The whole car has been repainted
at least once before and it is in need of being painted again. There is no major body or rust damage on this
car! There are a couple of cracks at the
right side of the dash and one crack on the driver’s side. The battery tray is corroded I think due to a
leaking battery at some point. The front
seat needs to be recovered and the rear seat looks good. Please refer to the pictures regarding
condition. This car show 60,600 miles on
the odometer and I believe that to be original.
I have rebuilt much of the front suspension and replaced the front brake
shoes, cylinders and hoses. I really
hate to part with this car, but I am only driving it for less than 400 miles
per year. This car gets positive
reactions wherever it goes!
