This is another one of those fabulous cars that is owned by a good friend of mine who also owns the Cars Of Dreams auto museum in N. Palm Beach, Florida..
Like myself, he is a serious car collector and aficionado and is extremely passionate about his love for vintage cars and only owns and collects the best of the best.
This is a "real" from the factory J2 Holiday 88 J2 Oldsmobile and has been part of his collection and on actual display in what I believe to be the finest museum of it's type in the entire world.
From time to time he decides to sell some of his cars and to acquire new ones for the museum...this is one of those rare opportunities to own one of his cars.
In a few words...this J2 is "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and it runs like it looks...amazing!
Available for any model at just $83, the J-2 included a trio of two-barrel carburetors, plus higher compression and low-restriction air cleaner to take the 371-cubic-inch "Rocket" V-8 from 277 stock horsepower to 300 -- good for 0-60 mph in under 8 seconds. There was also a racing setup with radical camshaft and heavy-duty internals, but at $385, it was seldom ordered.
The J-2 added spice to an Olds lineup that didn't look new but was. Basic appearance and even wheelbases stayed the course of 1954-56, but bodies were two inches lower and longer, so styling was a bit more rakish. Olds turned 60 in '57 and celebrated by adding models, including a convertible to the base Golden Rocket 88 series to join a Super 88 and Starfire 98. The last sold best despite costing the most ($4217), attracting 8278 orders. Next came the Super ($3447) with 7128 sales, followed by the 88 ($3182) with 6423
I have difficulty describing just how nice it is..there are very few cars ever on Ebaymotors that are really like this...this is one of those special cars...that we feel is The Best...of the Best!

With a collection of just over 100 cars, the Cars From Yesterday Auto Museum was opened in 1993. Today we have a total of 421 great cars in the Museum. These cars are NOT offered for sale.
Some of our business policies.
We try very hard to describe every car honestly and correctly. We openly encourage every potential bidder or buyer to have the car of your choice inspected prior to winning an auction or to using the buy it now feature.
We are located just 10 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and would be happy to pick you up whenever possible.
If you have a private plane, we are only 1 minute from the Executive Jet Port in Ft. Lauderdale....we keep our plane there. We will pick you up in our Golf cart. We're that close!
Any new car or truck we offer, is covered by the remainder of any existing factory warranty. There is no charge from any manufacturer to continue the warranty when a vehicle is sold to another party when the warranty has not expired.
There are no warranties on any Vintage cars or cars when the manufacturer's warranty has expired.
If 10 different people look at a vintage car you can bet you'll get 10 different descriptions. I have purchased many, many cars over the Internet and off of EBay and for the most part have been pleased. Probably because of the fact I am a true car collector and realize there is no such thing as PERFECT!
If you buy a car from Cars Of Yesterday and are not happy with something, please call us and let us know. If we feel it's our fault, we are only too happy to make an adjustment on the price...even though the vehicle has already been paid for. This is not because of any guarantee or warranty...because there are none. It would be strictly a goodwill gesture on our part. We really like everyone to be happy & pleased.
