Oldsmobile : Eighty-Eight Oldsmobile 1955 Olds Super 88 - 2 door HT - the Red Rocket!

Olds started it all with the Rocket 88's in 1949. This one is equipped with Oldsmobile's 324 V8, 4bbl carburetor, Power steering, Power brakes, Hydromatic and lots of Harley Earl styling. There's been a lot of interest in these cars recently and with prices going through the roof on restorable 1955, '56 and '57 Chevrolet's, why not step up to a most reasonable priced and style leader, Oldsmobile! This is a Nevada car (assembled in Los Angeles), that is 99% rust free and so restorable. The original color is tu-tone white over red with red and gray interior. It has extremely solid floors and trunk. There is no sign of filler in this car. There is only one small rust spot about the size of of a half dollar behind the right front wheel well and a smaller one behind each rear wheel well. Thats It! Engine runs well, transmission shifts well and power brakes work well. Does have an occasional under hood noise, could need water pump or harmonic balancer.
