This Olds was completely off-the-frame restored. This is a cloned 442. I have invested over $40,000 in restoring this car.
The frame was sand blasted including all control arms, etc. and was painted with a harden, hammered finish paint. All brakes, cables, control arms and rear, etc. are new. The body was removed and all old floor pans were cut and removed and replaced with GM certified left and right floor pans and trunk pans. Body was sand blasted, sealed and painted. All rubber kits, window trims, screws, mounting brackets and weather stripping were replaced.
The convertible top is original and in a score from 1 to 10 it would rate a 9. The convertible hydraulic system has been replaced, including fittings, hoses, relays and wiring.
Motor was removed and completely broken down, sent to machine shop, bored 60 over along with heads, new pistons, rings, new rocker arms, etc. Complete rebuilt transmission (competition race bushings, bearings and shift kit). Estimated HP 425.
Paint is a charcol, spectral, black metal flake with seven coats of clear.
Interior completely removed and restored including door panels, seats, kick plates, rugs, seat belts, dashboard, shifter and console.
This car is a must see (2 time car show winner 2 years running) Turns heads where ever you go and with new horsepower, 2 5/8 exhaust system, flowmaster blasters and a balanced worked transmission it will snap your head back.
