History: This beauty was fully restored beginning in 1996 and completed in 2001. Amazingly, the body required almost no repair with virtually no dents or other damage to the sheet metal! The know history of this Packard commences on January 11th, 1964 when Dr. Mortimer Bloom from West Orange, NJ had the car judged at the Classic Car Club of America 12th Annual Meeting at Buck Hills Falls, PA. This Packard was awarded a Senior badge, number 205S , and scored 92.25 points in the Custom Late class (Dietrich’s were considered Custom until later in the clubs history)! Shortly after being awarded the Senior badge, the Packard was sold to the Packard collector E. Snyder from New Jersey. By the time Snyder sold the vehicle after some 30 years of ownership it had a recorded total of approximately 27,000 miles! Since 2001, the car has been shown at CCCA the Packard’s International annual meeting and it scored a 99.75 (one of the highest scoring cars at their annual meeting). At the 50th anniversary Annual Meeting for the CCCA in San Jose, the Packard was acknowledged as having the lowest Senior badge number, being the 205th motorcar in the Club’s history to be awarded a senior badge. In 2002 at the Packard’s International Annual Meeting, the Convertible Sedan scored one of the highest scores in PI’s history with 2451/4 points and became a Circle of Champions member. In 2003, the Packard scored 99.5 points at the CCCA Grand Classic in the Premier Class, having now received the CCCA award badges! It was also shown at PEBBLE BEACH a few years ago.

Items must be picked up at Waukegan location (see links) no later than 15 days after “End of Auction” unless alternate shipping / delivery arrangements have been agreed to in advance. We do not ship but will be happy to work with you and your shipper. If item is not picked up by 15 days after “End of Auction” the item will be re-auctioned and bidder will forfeit any payments. Pick up and viewing times are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday 12 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm central time. Please call 847-662-0100 for an appointment at least 24 hours in advance of pick-up. No items can be removed from the Chicago Car Auction location nor will they be shipped until payment has been received in full. Cashier check transactions are subject to have title held till funds clear our bank. Title will then be sent by priority mail. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance and transportation charges. Illinois buyers must add taxes (8.25% Chicago, 7% all other Illinois buyers). Illinois buyers must pay for title transfer fees and appropriate license fees (if applicable). Other states may require us to collect sales tax also, please call to see if you live in one of these states. Additional Storage - We will provide storage for your item for up to 7 days after “End of Auction” (See storage fee above). After day 7 the storage fee is $25.00 per day.
