1968 Plymouth Fury III hardtop with vinyl roof (original and in good condition). 90K original mileage. This is an original big block car (383 V8 with 2bbl carb) with the 727 automatic transmission. I bought from the estate of the original owner and it still has the early California black plates that are highly valued. The maintenance is current and some service records are included with the car. The car comes with the original dealer installed A/C from the era that was installed when the car was new. It isn't working, but all the parts are there.
The custom 3-piece 17" wheels are included and are valued at $5,000 by themselves with the Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The wheels are 8x17 front and 10x17 rear. The tire sizes are 235-17 front and 245-17 rear. The original wheels/tires and hub caps are included in the sale as well as a Carter 4bbl carb.
The interior is original and clean. The car was kept in a garage when not in use and has been under a car cover while I have owned it. The paint is mostly original with some scraping on the right side. The car shows normal wear and tear for it's age and mileage; not perfect, but decent.
This car runs and drives well, the brakes are in good condition and the tires have 90% of the tread left. The old muffler has a small hole in it, and the car should be converted to duals anyway. I will take the car to a local (with in 10 miles) shop of your choice for an inspection, but you are responsible for locating and paying the shop. Don't expect me to do it! All such inspections must be done before you bid, NOT as an afterthought. Once you bid, then you accept the car as is, where is.
Payment within 7 days of auction end by cash (preferred) or bank transfer only. NO PAYPAL. When the funds are received, I will send or give you the signed title. You then have 14 days to remove the car from my property - I'll work with you on delivery options or storage if needed. Please make all special arrangements and ask all questions before placing a bid.
The Fury is currently registered (and has been since new) in California and is insured. I drive it occasionally and it is fun. A time capsule! I have too many projects and the Fury has to go. Maybe you will be the one to take care of her next. |
