Up for sale is a very nice condition 1966 plymouth satellite 2 door, it is an original big block 4 speed car, but the motor that is in it is a 383hp crate motor from 1968. This motor was made for the great falls police dept and was stored at the local chrysler dealership until they needed them. This one was never installed in a cop car so in the late 70's it was sold at auction to the previous owner of the car and he installed it. He said it has about 40k miles on it now. I know this because i bought it from the guy who bought the motor and owned this car since he was in high school, and now he is around 40. Anyway, it was bone stock when i bought it, i still have the original 4 barrel intake, magnum exhaust manifolds, and carter carb, and will go with the car. I have installed a new edelbrock rpm intake, new headers, new flowmaster exhaust 2 1/2 inch with h-pipe, holley double pump carb, chrome valve covers and air cleaner on an otherwise original motor. I have everything i changed out and will be in the car when it leaves, including the 4 stock hubcaps, and i have the 14 inch wheels and tires that came off it as well if you can get them shipped with it. The transmission shifts perfect and makes no noise, it is numbers match to the car, i put a new hurst shifter and linkage in it as well, the old one is included, but worn out. The interior is pretty nice for its age, the original seats and door panels have been recovered in a nice black and red cloth, and the console is missing, but the brackets are still in the floor, the headliner is coming apart at the seams, and the carpet is worn, dash is very nice with stock radio intact, dash pad is decent, but curled up on the ends a bit. Rear end is numbers match 8 3/4 posi with highway gears that is in good working order. The brakes in the front are all new drum with new master cylinder and are manual not power. Also the car is manual steering just like a real muscle car should be. All in all the car is driveable as-is and i have been driving it daily for about a month now. The motor has a slight tick in it and the clutch chatters a bit at take off sometimes, but drives and runs very nice and sounds awesum. Does not use oil or smoke at all, does have a slight oil leak, but no too bad. Ok, on to the body, it is has rust on both rear quarters on top of the wheels only. Fixable with the half panel patches they make. It has not rusted through to the inner panels only the outer quarters. The trunk and floors are perfect, as is the rest of the car. This car was bought new in dry montana and has stayed here its whole life. This is a very clean car. I have buffed out the paint because it was faded, and it shines very nice, but it is somewhat see through to the black sealer now, so it needs a paint job, but like i said the body is very nice for restoration. Chrome is all driver quality with some stuff being in mint shape. It has the wrong taillights in it, but i do have both the satellite tails, one is broken, one is nice, they come with the car also. The wheels ard tires are brand new bfg's and jegs brand drag lite wheels. In closing i would like to say this car is NOT a show car, it does need some work, it would make a perfect restoration project, or just drive it and tinker with it when you get time.It gets thumbs up all day long and most people think its perfect and compliment on it alot. It looks awesum driving around. Where else are you going to find this nice of car being a factory big block 4- speed mopar for under 10k. I am a chevy guy, i thought i could be a mopar guy, but this one is being sold so i can buy a chevy. Thanks and good luck. This car is very cheap for what you are getting. I am being hard on this car, so you will be happy when you get it. It is a very nice car for the money. I am very honest and i dont want anyone to think it is something its not. If you want to own a nice 66 satellite to drive or restore, this is the one you want to start with. The last picture is what it looked like the day i brought it home in stock form so you can get an idea of how solid this car is before i freshened it up a bit.
