That thing got a Hemi? It does now! Thereās only one way to make a ā67 GTX cooler than it was when new, and thatās pachyderm power up front, in a healthy 472 cubic inch dose! This carās cooler still ācause itās a super clean, original sheetmetal, console four speed, Dana 60 rear body thatās been given the total treatment from front to back! If youāre a fan of ā67ās this oneās gonna grab your attention!
Hereās the breakdown of the original fender tag:

Some cool stuff in there---the console mounted four speed, the Dana rear, the tach, the tinted glass and redlines!
Start under the hood. Thatās where all the noise is coming from, anyway! 472 inches of Mopar crate power moves a car like this in quick order, and itās fresh, tooāthe receipt for its purchase dates from just this January! (Speaking of receipts, theyāre here for just about EVERYTHING bolted to the car, collated clipped into a folderāvery nice.) Exhaust goes through a set of Mopar reproduction exhaust manifolds and an Accurate Exhaust Products system before meeting the atmosphere at the ends of the too cool slash cut GTX chrome exhaust tips. No corners were cut hereāthose are Hemi pulleys, Hemi mounts, Hemi heat tubes, Hemi coil bracketā¦the receipts go on forever! Thereās a fat Holley bolted to the motor with a reproduction round air cleaner on top. Correct battery cables carry current from the reproduction battery, we have a set of reproduction plug wires installed now in place of those ridiculous blue crate motor wires, and everything else youād need to install a Hemi PROPERLY in a car has been done! The four speed was rebuilt, as was the Inland shifter, and thereās a Centerforce clutch in there to harness the power. Thereās nothing left to do but get in and fry the tires!
Underneath youāll find a host of new components and a protective coating of undercoating. It might not be totally correct, but it keeps the noise down and road scarring to a minimum. You can see a total lack of rot, as youād expect from a desert car, the detailed Dana out back and the detailed K frame and front suspension up front. A new fuel system from tank forward saves the worry of clogged filters and carbs. Single piston disc brakes up front add stopping power over the factory drums, which is ALWAYS helpful when you add 200hp to the bottom line!
Inside the carās just about new. Mr. Gās was tapped to rechrome and detail all of the vacuum chrome, Legendary provided the seat covers, door panels, carpet and headliner, a correct four speed console was located, as was the correct wood steering wheel. New pedal pads and a pedal dress up kit accent the floor, the console top plates shine beautifully and an AM radio is the only addition to the austere interior. New seat foams under the new covers feel great, the restored seat belts look awesome, as do the gauges. Itās hard to sit in this beautiful cockpit and NOT fire up the motor, though!
The exterior is gorgeous, with arrow straight flanks covered in bright red paint. The trimās all been restored, as has the chrome. 15ā Wheel Vintiques chrome road wheels wrapped in 225/70/15 Coker redline radials keep the belly from scraping while looking dynamite. New emblems up front match up with a rechromed bumper and restored grille to present a beautiful face to the world. New GTX and Hemi emblems adorn the sides and are as new as the antenna and fuel cap assemblies. New taillights and bezels couple with a restored trunk panel to give the guy in the next lane something interesting to look at as youāre powershifting into second and making him look silly for trying.
Cars clean enough to retain their sheetmetal are hard to find, and harder still to find in desirable models. Take one of those, restore it to the nines, add a Hemi and you end up with, wellā¦this! Lock it up with the rest of your collection, take it nostalgia dragging, intimidate the locals at the car hop or just jump in for a Sunday cruiseāthe equipmentās up to it all but the choice is yours!
