Pontiac : Grand Prix 355cui 1978 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX PRO STREET G BODY

I am selling my 1978 Pontaic Grand Prix. It has only 33k miles on it and I am the second owner. The car has been stored in a heated dark garage all its life and retians 90% of its original paint. The lacquer has no cracks and is in beautiful condition. Few blemishes. Show, drive, or race this car. Whatever excites you most!

The car was a factory delete radio and AC car. The black wheels and dog dish caps are original with the car. The rear wheels were modified  at California Wheel Co.

The engine is a 355cui 11.5 to 1 four bolt truck block with the thicker webbing. Steel crank, Crower rods, Dart Stage III heads, Dart Intake, 750 Double pump carb, Hooker fender well headers (two piece), roller rockers (1.5) , 588 lift solid lift Lunati camshaft, electric Holley fuel pump and regulator, full stainless braided fuel system at 5/8 diameter, electric  water pump, alum (rad), and electric fans. The list goes on and on.

The transmission is a turbo 350 with a 3800rpm stall converter, completely rebuilt. The rear is completely new and rebuilt including a new Easton Posi unit, and Richmond gears, bearings etc. The suspenson is all Spohn components as we are an authorized dealer for them. Boxed upper and lower arms, and sway bars. Tires are BFG on the front and BFG Drag Radials on the rear. The wheels wre custom cut with custom offset (15 x 9). No frame notching needed. They fit "snug as bug in a rug", with no rubbing.

Custom dual exhaust is 2.5 inches all the way out the back. I have an additional dual exhaust system to go with the car that has catalytic converters. This is a turn key street legal car that was professionally built. The car was put on a dyno and showed 379hp at the rear wheels. The motor has approx. 460hp.

The new drivetrain has approx. 500 miles since built and has never been raced. It's a very fast street car for my sons and I to have fun with and do the occasional car show.

WHAT ISN"T PERFECT: Rear bumper filler were cracked purchased new ones from Year One ( $300.00). You have to paint and install. The right rear quarter down low has a 1 inch by 3 inch area that the paint lifted. It was a blend repair in 1981 (the little old lady scrubbed a bush). I remember the day she did it. Easy blend repair. It doesn't bother me but it may bother you.

The car is turn key and street legal in Delaware through 2011.  It is being sold as is with no warranty. It is being sold locally, as well as on the internet, and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I do have rollbacks and can deliver up to 500 miles away. The buyer would be responsible for the cost. You may also arranage your own Delivery Co. The buyer is ultimately repsonsible for picking up the car.
