1980 Pontiac Trans Am T-Tops. This is an all original Trans Am with only 5402 miles on it. Yes those are the original miles as the car was stored for most of its life. We bought it about 5 years ago with the intention of restoring it, but plans have changed. The passenger side floorboard has one small rust hole. Other very minor rust spots were sandblasted and had preservative applied when we bought it. Dash is perfect no cracks. I have the aluminum wheels for it and the t-tops. The last time I had the car running it was very smooth and quiet. Still has original dual exhaust. Delivery can be arranged and a rate quoted before the end of the auction. Acceptable payment is Paypal, money order, cashiers check or wire transfer to bank. Payment due within 3 days of end of auction. I have recieved a few e-mails doubting the mileage on the car. As I have told the know it alls that have sent the e-mails look at the driver seat and see that it is not worn from sliding in and out like you would on a car like this. The dash does not have a crack in it from exposure to the sun for 28 years. The car was put in storage in the early 80's and at the time the cost of the storage bill became higher than the value of the car so the car owner signed it over to the storage facility. If this car had been on the road for even half the time it's been around the salt would have eaten it away. Remember some of the time it was stored outside which is why the small rust hole in the floor where the t-top was either loose or missing. I can assume the emails I have recieved have been from young gearheads that think they know it all about old cars. 'They would know that cars like this didn't fair as well to high mileage like todays cars and this one would probably been scrapped by now if not cared for. If you're looking for a very sound car that has a solid body to restore this is it. If you're looking for a car that you can drop a battery in and take downtown this is not it. If you haven't restored a vehicle before it's tough to look past the dirt and torn carpeting. This car is for someone who wants a solid car to restore back to like new condition.
