We are selling this original 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible. This car has only 37,000. original miles and has been off the road since 1975. It is in need of a complete restoration but is all original. The intact options consist of in dash tachometer and factory gauges, am-fm radio, power top, front disc brakes,power steering, 3:36 positrac, his and hers shifter,hideaway headlights (which still work),etc. I believe the only thing missing from the car acording to the PHS sheets are the rally II wheels.The fenders and quarters need to be replaced, basically the car needs a complete restoration and has considerable rust. The frame looks fine but will be pitted from sitting.This car still retains it's original spiral shocks, that is how original it is. We are including a southern trunk lid, hood, 2 clean southern fenders and 2 new 75% quarters and inner wheelhouses and a new trunk pan in the auction. The original engine has been started occasionally over the years and turns over easily.This car cannot be driven but we will assist in loading, it rolls easily. This is an excellent project car as it is a numbers matching original GTO convertible and all the difficult items and options to find are intact and original!!
