1965 Lemans California car with original black license plates. 326ci, auto transmission. Factory air conditioning, power steering. Beautiful straight car that gets looks anywhere we go. Bought from the orininal owner who claims the miles are accurate. From the great condition, I would have a hard time believing the odometer when around once. I am selling it to get 2 cars for my teenage boys to drive to school. I have put new parts on the car when required. New seat covers, door panels, carpet, dual flowmaster exhuast, torque thrust wheels and new radials. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CAR. This car drives beautiful and does not compare to the chopped up junk being offered in other places. Nothing like an original, dry, straight, California car. It is mostly original so if you want big crate motors, high stall converters, B&M shifters and seats from a Corvette, this is not the car for you. I can only download a few pictures at a time so I started the listing with a few but will post more each day.

On Jul-29-08 at 14:05:18 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE READ: Many emails and questions so far. Some questions about when the car was restored etc. I am always concerned about misleading anyone so I want to ensure I restate some things. But first I want to let bidders know that this car is not restored. I hope I did not lead anyone to think that. I am being scolded a bit about making the assumption about the miles. A bidder really let me have it that since I could not confirm the miles, I should refrain from making opinions. OK, he has a good point, I do not know if I was lied to by the original owner, so I retract my opinion on the issue and will refrain from spectulation. The car has been cared for and had things fixed or replaced as needed. That is why it looks so good. Cars also always look better when they spent their life in California. Of course. like everyone else, I cleaned up the car, waxed it, detailed the engine, fixed the leaky valve cover, etc, to make it look its best. I am selling the car with no reserve. High reserves tend to lead people into thinking cars are better than they are. With no reserve, I state nothing about the value. The buyers set the price so this way there can be no remorse. I am more than pleased with the bidding so far. I did not think these cars were worth that money. But, you set the price.
Some similar questions about what works or doesn't work, paint, chrome, etc. Old cars always have something not working each month. The horn stopped working when we put the new wood wheel and cap on. AC does not work although all the parts are indeed intact and the compressor turns. Nothing ripped out. Turn lights, wipers, stop lights, back up lights work fine. The exhaust is a new dual flowmaster and has a nice rumble that makes people turn and look, but by no means is it too loud. Brakes felt funny last night on a local drive. I will check them and ensure to you any issue will be completely resolved, if there is one. (Now who would tell you that?) New door and truck seals. Paint is good. Not excellent, but good and very presentable. Most trim removed, door handles, bumpers, windshield molding, for the single stage urethane. I color sanded and buffed the hood and quarter and it really comes out like a mirror. Took forever and hard work, so just did not finish the rest. The car looks plenty good for me. Bumpers were rechromed. They looked OK but had that hazy finish. This is an old car and is sold as-is with no reserve, so please ensure it is the car you have been looking for and no remorse. Please do not assume something that is not mentioned. Like it does not have tri-power, etc. Just trying to sell it to buy some cars for my boys. Thanks for reading through. God Bless. |
