Only 46k original miles! Correct Sand Beige paint, original interior, one of the nicest around!
Here is a beautiful 1968 Porsche 912 for sale with chassis number 12805417 and engine number 1285614. The car has been gently driven with fewer than 47,000 total miles. This an unrestored and original Porsche with the exception of one repaint done in its original Sand Beige (paint code 6807). The options to the car include five (5) Fuchs alloys, wood steering wheel, Hella 128 fog lights and a Blaupunkt radio that while not period correct cranks out some great sounding tunes (door speakers were installed at some point and they sound very nice). It also has an original radio antenna. The original owners manual, tool kit and jack are also with the car. There is no rust on the car except for a quarter size spot on the backside of the right rear foot well. It is just surface rust. The panel fit is correct and the chrome is excellent.
Recently all of the mechanicals were gone through and over $6000 was spent to ensure every mechanical component of the car was in correct operating condition. Original Porsche parts were used where replacement was necessary. The work included the engine, transmission/shifter/axles, fuel system, brakes, electrical, suspension/rear shocks/alignment, engine compartment insulation, wiper blades, tires, battery, and full tune-up. The work was done by a factory trained Porsche mechanic and the receipts are included for all of this work. The smog pump has been removed which is the only mechanical modification to the car.
The interior is original except for the door speakers. The door panels are near perfect as are the seats and other panels. There is a very small crack in the dash. It has seat belts front and rear and the original rubber floor mats are also excellent. All of the original glass is present including the windshield and there are no marks on this glass. The front trunk has the original Perlon carpeting that is very nice with the exception of a few small holes over the battery.
The car starts as it should, stops as it should, accelerates quickly, shifts smoothly, handles easily and is a pleasure to drive. The paint is exceptionally nice with no flaws making the car very attractive. This is probably one of the best original 912's available and better yet with under 47,000 miles it has a long life ahead of it with many years of enjoyment.
Thanks for checking out this beautiful 1968 Porsche 912. It is the nicest 912
we have ever offered for sale.
