1964 Porsche 356 Cabriolet

This car was just shown at the California 2008 north meets the south annual event with 200 cars in attendance this was one of the cleanest C cabriolets on the lawn. A fresh recipient of a picture documented bare metal restoration gives the ruby red finish an excellent appearance with the cars parts being restored before reinstalling from disassembly a highly detailed car is present. The fit and finish along with the detailed assembly are well represented on this example and were admired by knowledgeable enthusiasts at the event. This car has received all new weather stripping and window seals, the chrome was re-plated inside and out including complete seat brackets and levers, headlamps were restored along with tail lamps, door lock strikes were cad plated with other necessary engine plating, all new deckos and trim moldings were used to complete the appearance of everything you see on the out side and in was given attention. The interior is new leather front seats door panels and dash with complete new German square weave carpet and new top, pad and headliner. The rear jump seats remain original. The dash was restored to match the rest of the car; beautiful paint with gauges over hauled and new trim rings. The small dash knobs, brackets for visors and soft top latches have new plating to complete; the all you see looks new theme while you sit inside. The engine was rebuilt with the shrouds restored and the metals re-plated to look as delivered when new. The sound deadener insulation remains original and in very good condition.Under the hood was also restored so to show as when originally delivered; with the tank, sending unit, and hardware restored, along with the fresh air vents, wire harness and fire wall water bottle and fuse cover, to complete the extensive detailing of the area all the inner structure was scraped to bare metal and sprayed with a body protect ant. The complete underside and all wheel openings were scraped to bare metal and had the protect ant seen in the photos sprayed to bring the car to an all around highly detailed restoration. This was an excellent car to begin restoration with showing no signs of accidents or clips before starting and being complete with all nice parts to work with. You would spend way too much money to restore a car like this again; I can’t begin to mention all the work that was done to this car to bring it to this condition. Tool kit, jack, owners manual, 5 dated chromed wheels, wood steering wheel with deluxe horn ring and original radio and speaker grills complete the package.
