You are bidding on a beautiful reproduction of a 1958 Porsche 356D convertible. This is a custom built car. I purchased the car 6 years ago from a private party who built the car. The body, fiberglass with black gel coat, is the only part of this car purchased from a kit company. The car features anti sway front and rear, 4-wheel Porsche disk brake rotors, Alden adjustable shocks front and rear and one inch thick steel bars inside front and rear bumpers. The engine is a two liter Porsche engine out of 914, approximately 180hp. The engine compartment is lined with aluminum. With dual 44 Webber carburetors and dual flow gages, super trapp mufflers, a 4 speed rhino case transmission (long 1st close 2nd, 3rd, and long 4th) and Pirelli P700Z 225-45 ZR16 tires on Enkei 16x7 alloy rims this car is extremely speedy. The interior features tan leather seats and door panels. The car has a leather dash and roll-up windows. There are speakers in head rests and in the center console and I’ve installed an Alpine CD stereo. All of the gages and knobs out of 914 Porsche (the gages you see in the center console are for ‘show’ only – they are not hooked up). I’ve also installed windshield with three speed wiper control. This is a fantastic car. There are some minor scratches and dings on the fiberglass and there are some stress marks in the fiberglass by the front right wheel (I’ve included a picture of this). The speedometer is a little off – particularly at high speeds. There’s about 80 pounds of lead shot in the front end, but even with that at speeds around 100mph the front can feel a little light.
