1967 Porsche 912, Nice paint, nice interior. NO RESERVE
You are looking at a classic 1967 Porsche 912 short wheelbase car with clear California title! The car is not in bad shape at all, as a California car, it has minimal rust and is also very straight. Like so many of these 912 these days, someone replaced the original engine with a 1600 VW engine which will not come with the car! However, the body and paint look good and the interior is in good shape, less the front seats which should be recovered. I can include the engine if buyer would like to negociate a price. I am asking $6500 for the car as it sits or no reserve, please call me with any questions, 949-285-8011 Exterior wise, the car looks good. However, it is not a high end paint job, and there are a fair amont of imperfections here and there. It would make a great driver as it sits. The body looks very straight, and the hood and deck lid and doors line up well. They also work with the latches properly from inside. I would say someone loved and kept this car up for a long time judging by it's condition. The chrome trim is in excellent shape all around the car, the drivers side mirror in good shape, and the chrome around the bumpers is nice as well. There are only a few small rust bubbles in front of the passenger side windshield which appear to be very minor. Interior wise, it is not bad, but the front seats should have the top panels replaced at least, the rest of the front seats are nice. The rear seats are in nice shape and don't have any rips or tears as well as the rear side panels which look fresh.The carpet appears to be newer as well as the dash pad and door panels and headliner, all in excellent condtion. The rear windows are pop outs, and the front window roll up and down fine, drivers side will need a handle. All the gauges are in good shape, the chrome and faces of the gauges look excellent, however I don't know what works and what doesn't because I have never had the car running to find out. The glovebox opens and closes fine, it has a brand new ignition swich and both the turn signal and wiper leavers are in good shape. Rear view mirror looks good too. The seat belts look new. Mechanically, the car does not come with an engine. However the 1600 vw engine shown in the pictures can be bought for an additional cost. I was told the car ran and drove before it was put away 3 years ago. I know one of the wiring harnesses was fried because someone wired the voltage regulator incorrectly. I am not sure about the rest of the car mechanically, consider this a project please! No gurantees about the transmission or steering or brakes although I was told they were good. My guess is that they should be checked out at very least. I make no gurantees about the mechanical aspects of this car!! There are service companies that can inspect a vehicle such as this in the case you can’t come out and see it in person, (Ebay even offers one) and I would always recommend you do this if you need more confirmation of it’s condition.
