Porsche : 911 SC COUPE 1981 PORSCHE 911SC COUPE, EXCELLENT CONDITION

You’re about to view and possibly bid on, a great Porsche 911 SC coupe! The documented history alone is quite remarkable. Virtually all records including those that we have put into the car recently. Original invoice, including the salesman who sold the car to the first owner is a small example of the details of it’s history since 1981. The owners were two doctors and the last being a CPA.

Aside from all the updates this car has received, last year a new $1600 ac compressor with all the updates required by law, was installed, and more recently, we put in a new master cylinder. I had the Porsche mechanic do an overall inspection, which he said the car was in very good condition. I can supply a picture of that to you if you would like to see it. We have maxed out on the pictures allowed by e-bay.

Everything works in this car. Yes, that includes the clock and the blaupunkt radio! The power antenna does not work but remains in a fixed upward position and can be easily lowered by hand.

The color is the somewhat rare, rosewood metallic. The color cost the first owner an additional $900 when he ordered the car! I have done some touch up from when the owner before owned it and have a can of touch-up that would be included in the purchase. Not a big deal I guess for some, but I am very particular about appearance and do what I can to keep my cars looking as good as they can. As with any low profile car, rock chips and the occasional ding happens. I have touched these up the best I could. No rust anywhere and the car has never lived anywhere else but Tennessee, Florida & Georgia.

 The seats are about as close to perfect you can get especially in a 27-year-old car. You’ll see that when you view the pictures. Original cookie cutter rims are on the car and probably could use a professional polishing.

One of the most important things about this car is that in 1981, Porsche had decided to increase the performance of the 911 engine a bit. This is that year and she can move!
