1973 PORSCHE 914- 1.7 liter in Zambezi green. Odometer 75,555 miles.
This Porsche 914 is offered at No Reserve. This car has been garage kept throughout its' entire life. I am the third owner and this Porsche has been PCA member owned since new. The frame of this 914 is solid and rust free. This car has never been in a collision or suffered any structural damage.
The following is a list of repairs that has been performed while the car has been in my possession. In September 2006, the car was repainted to bring back the luster of the Zambezi Green color. A Porsche crest badge was also added to the front hood. In October 2007, both rear calipers were rebuilt and replaced because they were not releasing properly. Also, new pads were installed and the brake fluid was flushed.
The muffler was replaced with a new Bursch model. The left heat exchanger was loose and corrected with two oversized studs. A new nut and washer were installed on the alternator pivot bolt. Front struts have been replaced with new Boge shocks.
The front torsion bar was correctly adjusted to lower the front end which had been higher than rear. The pedal cluster bushings were rebuilt with new Weltmeister bushings and a spring was replaced. A new clutch and flywheel were installed. The transaxle input seal and clutch hardware parts were replaced. The shift rod was straightened and the shift plunger bushing was replaced. The spark plugs were replaced and the valves properly adjusted.
The compression and timing both checked and passed inspection. The targa top has new rubber stripping. Two new sun visors were installed and adjusted. This car runs very solid and could definately be used as a daily driver. The interior was redone before I purchased the car. There is a small (1 inch) tear in the black vinyl of the drivers seat. An Alpine CD/Stereo was installed discreetly under the dash of the passengers side (However the original AM radio is still installed in the car but it is disconnected).
Documents of the cars repairs and work orders will be included with purchase. I also have an original owners manual and a repair guide book. This 914 is near perfection and will be easy to maintain. 914 enthusiasts will be pleased to see this car in such great condition.
