Driven often and enjoyed.
All factory body components in excellent condition.
Original Yellow - Painted Red some time ago.
Interior is in mint condition - usual drooping headliner removed.
Floors, chassis and frame areas no rust

Engine idles and runs with no smoke or any hesitation.

Seatback supports are loose but functional.
Rear window glass excellent condition.
Glass strut supports replaced.
Front hood lock broken.
Free wheel feather operates well - alittle scary to use but its fun.

Description:
This is a very nice example of a very low production vehicle. Saab Sonett owners know the in's and out's of these cars, they are a blast to drive quickly, light weight and very neutral in the corners. The front wheel drive pulls the car through the turns and the rear wheels track very well. Its similar to a Lotus 7 - real basic in its design - but not for the novice driver. Has the original factory roll bar and seat belts. The car is all fiberglass - the engine is a Ford V4 - really nice design and fits the car well. I can say without any reservation that this car has a real strong fun factor... reminds me of a Triumph GT6 for its size but has much better styling. Car really turns heads, most people are shocked to discover the car is a Saab. If I were to keep it I would strip it down and paint it - the paint finish has the typical star cracks found in this car - especially over time. The car gets over 25 MPG. Although the interior is alittle tight, once in you have lots of leg room because of the unique layout and flat floor because its FWD. Factory exhaust and straight though pipes provides an SCCA sound all day long (and its legal).

If you are new to this model car do some research on the car to make sure you are up to the driving experience - again similar to a Lotus 7, Lotus Europa, GT6 these are very special types of cars that are not designed for the beginners. Having said this, parts are very available as most of the engine and driveline is Saab 96. I always suggest that you visit the car in person - or use an inspection service - to assure that the car meets with your individual expectations.
