This is it! This is the ULTIMATE Shelby Cobra in existence today! This is CSX2568 a 1965 Shelby Cobra 289 roadster that was originally owned by the Jacuzzi family of Hot tub fame! This beautiful Princess Blue Metallic Cobra has not been offered to the public for sale since 1968 and has only 32,832 original miles!
This Cobra has zero miles on a well documented concours 2 year extensive nut and bolt rotisserie restoration to an already excellent car to make it one of the most beautiful and original Cobra's in the world today! This restoration was well documented and was performed by one of the top restorers in California.
The original California Black plates and the original registration tags that expired in 1972 come with the car.
This is the first time in over 40 years that CSX2568 has been in public and it was in dry and covered storage during that time. The original California title "pink slip" comes with the car. Princess Blue with Red leather interior that were the original colors of the car, 32,832 original miles, and the fact that this car was never more than 100 miles from the city of San Francisco make this truly a unique find!
The original 289 high performance engine has been completely restored to original specs. When originally delivered to the California Dealer, the original 271 HP stock engine received the dealer installed 306HP option which consisted of a Holley 715cfm center pivot carb, a Cobra high rise manifold, tubular Balanger headers and an aluminum 6 quart oil pan all of which are still on this originally-equipped car! Original style Dunlop racing tires on chrome Borranis, and the original chrome wheels come with the car. All numbers on chassis, engine, transmission and differential are correct and original.
