Update 1 - Info Added Recently: The extent of the rust is confined to the wheelwells in the rear. I don't see it starting anywhere else really, if so it is very light surface rust. I think it is due to water being trapped in that area in the wheelwell.
Update 2 - The car never came with A/C. Basically, no A/C, when new from the factory.

Hello folks,
Thanks for taking the time to look at her. I have sold a few cars on eBay from my private collection due to my need to move, all with positive results, and they were substantial cars and very nice - see my feedback for the 3 recently sold cars, I'll try to be as descriptive as I can, but please feel free to ask questions or call the number at the bottom of the screen. We are looking to get the appropriate price in relation to demand for this B.R.A.T.. It seems that the car should bring something in the mid one-thousands at least, based on the other ones I've seen on here in the past. However, I need to move and need to sell her. I expect it will bring the price that ebayers are willing to pay.
Here is a car I purchased from an auction benefiting charities, I've always liked these and I wanted to save her from going somewhere else and instead give her a nice fix-up. I have the need to move and I also decided that I just don't have the time to lend as much care as I want to her. To be honest, I felt that she might be just a bit more workable than I can take right now for me. She has great potential, there are no real areas that need immediate help other than the low compression in the engine. I understand she's not the most gorgeous thing on the road, and let's be honest - not even near, but she has some great points about her.
Frame: A very solid, and strong frame. It does not show real evidence of rust, as I hear that these cars are galvanized well. She has a nice frame, with more than acceptable handling characteristics. This is still remarkably a very solid-feeling vehicle. There's no play or shimmy in the steering wheel beyond factory norms and it looks like she has been taken care of as far as axle-work, c/v joint and suspension parts. Looks like someone needed her to be dependable.
Body: It is what it is. It's an all-terrain type of vehicle, I felt like it had a kind of character, like they are supposed to look that way...
Motor: I personally thought it needed a tune-up when I bought it, as it was a small preview, and so did others I spoke to. However, here's where we encounter the real issue. Now, I see it is obviously a tired motor. It still runs and accelerates, but under load, like driving, she exhibits a loss of power. Doesn't overheat, but rather just has low compression. It might be easier to just put a motor in.
Transmission: Shifts in and out of gears fine. Gears don't pop out, no grinding. Shows good signs of life left. the 4x4 works, and maybe it's just me, but I'm never sure if it will go into 4x4 LO. I know it will do 4HI, but as far as if it ever actually engages into LO I'm uncertain. The 4x4 lever seems like there is two positions to me, but the sticker says that there is also a LO mode which I'm never sure I've ever engaged.
Overall, take a look - she needs some help but has a lot of potential. I have the title, in my name and ready to transfer, with current plates.
PLEASE, DO NOT BID IF you do not intend to honor your bid. I have a lot of time and energy tied up in this, and I do need to move soon, so please, let's try to respect each other's time.
