If you have been waiting for an outstanding, fully restored classic FJ40 without an insanely high reserve price, then this is the one for you. You won't find a better classic FJ40 for sale at this price. The owner has spent over a year doing a full restoration on this beautiful cruiser. Attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. No expense was spared in creating the finest 1973 FJ40 on the market today.
The restoration began with a solid, original FJ40 with no modifications. The owner installed a rebuilt engine from a 1974 FJ40. An electronic ignition system, high performance coil and Weber 3434 carburetor, all from JT Outfitters, were added to the stock engine. A complete brake sysem makeover was performed, included new wheel cylinders, new brake booster, new springs, new lines and all rotors turned. The FJ also has a new flywheel, pressure plate, throw-out bearings, and both master and slave cylinder.
The bodywork was perfessionally done. Any existing rust was removed. The body tub was sealed prior to priming. All new rubber gaskets were installed all around on the Land Cruiser. The photos speak for themselves and testify to the outstanding appearance of this FJ40.
Over $30,000 was invested in the restoration. Some of the highlights include: all new upholstery, new hood, all new door hinges and locks, new headliner, new washer and wiper kit, all new lights, new emblems all around, new hubcaps, etc. We have a huge stack of receipts that documents all expenses.

On May-17-08 at 17:21:11 PDT, seller added the following information:The owner of the Land Cruiser has informed me that he has several boxes of additional parts that will go with the vehicle. Parts include: HFS shackles and shackle bushings from Cool Cruisers of Texas that will give the cruiser one and a half inches of lift above stock; all new tie rod ends; new wiring harness; new misc. radiator hoses; extra alternator; new side mirror bases from Cool Cruisers; lots of extra door rubber pieces; and several cruiser repair manuals.
