THIS CAR IS BEING RE-LISTED BECAUSE THE PURCHASER WHO HIT THE "BUY IT NOW" BUTTON TURNED OUT TO BE A 15 YEAR OLD PAPERBOY FROM NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA. I'LL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE HIS CONTACT INFO IF ANYBODY WISHES TO VERIFY THIS. This beautiful TR-6 has only 27,000 miles. It is predominantly original with the exception of 1 quality repaint in the original color which has a brilliant shine. The car has spent almost its entire life in the dry Southwest portion of the United States. Structural areas that commonly rust on these cars are in beautiful condition. The frame, floor pans, trunk floor, rocker panels etc. are like new. The interior is entirely original with the exception of the seat covers which have been changed to a cloth material in the original pattern. Upgrades include a roll bar as well as an AM-FM Cassette player. The dash pad is in excellent condition with no cracks. The wooden dash face is also in excellent condition as are the gauges. The owners manual is present in the glove box. The trunk is in excellent condition. It is entirely dry and rust free. The spare tire and all jacking hardware are present as is the original carpeting. The car also comes with a “Snug Fit” hardtop. This is also in excellent condition. There are no cracks or scratches. The side and rear windows are perfect. The white underside is like new. Also in excellent condition is the boot for the convertible top. The car runs and drives great. It has recently been serviced including a tune-up, exhaust pipes, water pump and rear differential rubber mounts. It also has new Coker Classic Redline Tires. As with any car that is 35 years old, there are some minor defects. The carpet is original and therefore slightly faded, the seats could use new stuffing, the drivers seat has a 2” separation under the headrest on a seam (visible in the picture and easily repairable), there is a small area of rust at the top of the left rear quarter panel (3” x 5” under the paint, not at the bottom of the panel where they typically rust), the front bumper has localized surface rust. The convertible top has two tears. All of these problems are minor and easily repaired. Look closely at the pictures of the underside. These cars often have significant rust in these critical areas. This rust is difficult and expensive to repair. Dry cars such as this are highly valued by collectors. I have included a “Buy it Now” price. The reserve is set below the “Buy it Now” price, but I don’t wish to disclose the reserve. Inspections are welcome. Please feel free to call me at 516-524-4102. Thank you.
