WEDGE WITH AN EDGE
44 K ORIGINAL MILES
**~~~NO RESERVE~~~**
You are looking at very nice and hard to find low mileage Triumph TR7 convertible. This car runs and drives nice and is in very nice shape. We took the car out for pictures and it was very fun to drive with the top down and has very good performance. This car appears to be all original except for the aftermarket stereo.
Under the hood is the original triumph 122 cubic inch four cylinder with dual Zenith carburetors. All the factory decals are still intact under the hood. The car starts easily and has no odd noises. The car seems to be warm blooded and doesn't want to idle until it warms up, it does have a manual choke or could maybe be a carb adjustment. Once warmed up car will idle and drive nice. Transmission is a five speed manual that shifts into all gears easily. Car has power brakes and manual steering and is Pa. state inspected until 1/09.
This car comes with a stack of literature and the original dealer brochure that lists all specifications and options. The interior is very nice and we saw only one rip on the tan cloth seats where the driver rubs when getting in and out. The tach and gauges all work, even the clock. The flush mount headlights open and close easily with the switch and the factory Bosch driving lights are in nice shape including the covers. The car has the optional wooden shifter knob and the custom steering wheel as well as the optional luggage rack and striping kit. There are small speakers mounted in the doors and the driver speaker is missing. The convertible top is in very nice shape and the plastic windows are nice and clear.
The body on the car is in very nice shape and shows no rust or dents, we even looked undernenth the car and it is in very nice shape. The car appears to be a re-paint and the gold stripes are painted. The paint has a nice appearance but does show some cracking on the hose around the laurel wreath sticker. We have a friend that is in a Triumph club and he said the car was in nice shape and said he would describe the car as a very nice driver.
This is a very nice example of the classic wedge shaped Triumph that was listed as "the shape of things to come" when they first appeared on the market in the 70's. Dont miss this rare opportunity to purchase a nice Triumph convertible that is fun to drive and with the four cylinder wont cost you alot in gas.
