Triumph : TR-6 Convertible '74 TR6 - Frame off restoration- Hardtop - Carmine Red

Repainted in its original color of Carmine Red, the car makes a strong impression. The paint is deep, glossy and beautiful, Carmine Red has a complexity to it that sets it apart from your "basic red sportscar". The body on this car is to show standards, with laser straight panels and excellent fit. All weatherstipping on the car has been replaced, every piece. Bumpers have been rechromed and are perfect, and that's a word I don't use freely. Signal lenses are all clean and clear. Tires are OE Michelin Red Lines in as-new condition. Wheels have been restored, trim rings are new and without flaw. Original Lucas headlights are a nice touch.

All of the glass has been replaced, including the door glass, this adds a subtle but noticeable element to the car that sets it apart from some of the other restored TR6's I've seen. Also shown below are the panel seams between the boot and the trunk. These often serve as a litmus test on TR6's, being a common rust spot. This area, like the rest of the car, show absolutley no signs of bubbling or blistering from rust. Being a frame off restoration, every body panel was painted inside and out. Even the wheel wells present in show condition.

New soft top with excellent fit and finish.

The hardtop was also repainted and restored, with all new weatherstripping, window seals, and an excellent new headliner.

The interior really adds to the "brand new TR6" feel that comes with this car, probably because it's all new! From the carpet to the door panels, dash pads to the seat covers, this interior is about as factory fresh as they come. It has been redone in the original trim color of "New Tan", which works beautifully with Carmine Red. The doors close precisely, windows wind easily. The door tops have new window seals and felts, the window channels inside the doors were also replaced ($) which means no more rattles!

All gauges and controls operate correctly, the car has a completely new wiring harness from front to rear.

Clean and correct trunk done with the same level of attention as the rest of the car.

The entire drivetrain on this car has been rebuilt, I don't think I've ever driven a TR6 this good and I've had more than a few. The car just runs beautifully; strong, tight, balanced - it runs like new. The car starts readily, has great throttle response, shows great oil pressure and temp readings, pulls through the gears crisply, brakes well - you'll like the way this car drives. A new all stainless exhaust system provides the auditory feedback that makes driving this car fun.

All new brake system components. Rebuilt and tuned Strombergs.

Clean undercarriage looks like a car with 300 miles.
