my feedback rating and bid with confidence. The success of my
service depends on my feedback rating, and I work hard to describe
everything honestly, accurately, and with as much detail as possible
to ensure a positive transaction will take place!! Up for auction is a beautiful
British roadster, a 1973 Triumph TR-6 convertible. This classic had
been kept in storage for 18 years, and then brought back to life
again in 1999. The car has stood the test of time, still in mostly
original condition and looking great! With convertible
weather finally here, you'll
be happy to know that this classic British roadster is
priced to sell for sure. The car was repainted in 1999
when removed from the storage facility. This TR-6 is believed
to have its
original inline 6 cylinder engine with original dual
Zenith carburetors, Lucas ignition, disc brakes, and 4 speed
transmission. The odometer
reads only 24,009 miles, and from
what is known of the car's history, this is believed to be the
original mileage. When the car came out of storage in 1999, it was
completely looked over – the engine was
completely tuned, 2 Zenith carbs were professionally rebuilt and
synchronized, the valves were adjusted, the fuel system was gone
over, new brake pads and brake hose, new wheel cylinders, and new
performance exhaust system installed. The owner notes that the
car has a lot of pep and no leaks
to report. A photo of the data plate
is included in the auction's pictures. The information from the
plate indicates the car was manufactured in February 1973 with Trim
~ 11 (Black)and Paint ~ 19 (White). If you would like to see a
short video of the car taken on 5/10/08, please visit the following
YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqG0sw5ASdI EXTERIOR/INTERIOR Once you see this car in person,
it becomes very clear that special care has been taken to keep this
classic in such great condition. The car was repainted in 1999
in its original color of white. A new black convertible top was put
on in 1999 as well, and the car does come with a convertible top
boot. Of course, the 1973 model features the desired front and rear
chrome bumpers and this TR-6 also features sporty looking 15”
Rallye Wheels. The trunk holds the tool bag and a full size spare.
The black interior trim is all original, except
for the carpet which was replaced in 1999. The interior
features the original AM/FM radio, Smiths gauges, wood-grain dash
panel, wood-grain gear shifter knob, and sport steering wheel. VEHICLE
CONDITION This 1973 Triumph TR-6 has been
kept in storage for 18 years, certainly helping this classic to stay
in mostly original condition and in such great shape. The car
is in great condition inside, outside, and under the hood!!
Please keep in mind that you are seeing
shadows and reflections on the car. The body and frame
are solid with no dents or dings. Rust and rot is not a problem on
the car as the floors, trunk, wheel wells, engine bay, and
undercarriage look great (see photos). The chrome bumpers have some
light pitting.The interior isn't
perfect, but is perfectly presentable with no cracks in the dash.
The radio is currently not working and there are no speakers in the
car. The car starts up right away and the owner reports no leaks.
