This is a 1973 beetle that I was going to restore one day but since I bought a 57 ford I am going to scrap this project. It is not a super beetle, this is all I know about it so please read everything and ask all questions before you bid, I have a open title to the car, I bought it about four years ago , its been sitting under the barn shed ever since, I bought it off a man that bought if off a kid hurting for money . he drove it there to the old mans and park it under a tree and it has sit for years, we got it to my house and I fooled with it for about a week one summer, I was never able to get it to run but one time and drove it around the yard with my foot on the gas pedal to the floor when I let off the gas it died and it has never started since, I tried to rebuilt the carburetor and no luck , that might be most of the problem but I am not sure, I have never done a compression check on it as recommended by some friends at work, all the electrical worked fine a few years ago before I pushed in into the barn, The beetle didnt look half bad until someone asked me about the floor pans , so when I was serious about restoring it last year I ripped out the carpeting and rubber flooring to expose the floor pans , I also took the front seats out, the floor pans have to be replaced there is about 30% rust through the floor board, so the front seats are removed and so is the carpeting. The back seat is actually in good shape. the two fronts seats are ok , as you can see in the pictures , there is a small chip on the drivers side window on the top when you roll the window down you can see it, there are several rusts spots that I sanded and put some primer on , once again this is being sold as A PARTS CAR OR A RESTORATION PROJECT. its by no way too far gone to fix up . it just needs someone with the interest of doing so. I spend over 250.00 in parts, new distributor , tail light and several other parts , I am asking 199.00 for the starting bid, being sold AS IS , not in running condition, for parts or restoration, seats are out of it and so is the carpet and the floorboards need replaced. it doesnt have air , radio works :) tires need replaced and it needs a battery ...PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID, its not in my way so I can work with the winning bidder if you need a considerable amount of time to pick it up , as long as you pay fifty percent of the ending price. some of the pictures where taken today under the shed the others where taken last summer after I washed it with a water house....
