I have lowered the Buy It Now by $1,000 to $6,900 and I will still consider a reasonable offer. Any takers?
PLEASE NOTE: I just spoke to a Volvo parts supplier who had purchased a lot of NOS parts from Volvo for the older cars and he said he has the correct color coded seat back upholstery to replace the torn one on my car. I have ordered it and it is on its way from Sweden and will be included with the sale of the car. If it arrives after the car has left here I will ship it to you for no charge.
Volvo 140 series cars were know as “the brick”. Some think it was because of their somewhat stodgy squarish appearance. But those who know them and love them know it was because they were built like the proverbial “brick outhouse”. Solid, strong, and long lasting to stand up to whatever comes along. With that said I would like to present you with the following:

THE FINE PRINT:
I am sure I have left some details out, so check out the pictures, reread what I have written, e-mail me with your questions AND then bid. I will gladly call serious buyers if you send your phone and best time to call.
The car is being sold as is, where is. There is no warranty stated, written, or implied. This is a 38 year old vehicle. It is a vintage or classic or whatever other term you might want to use. It is a nice car, but as any car of this vintage it will need a few things done as I stated above. I would encourage you to inspect the car first. I would also encourage you, DO NOT BID if you feel you are not comfortable purchasing the car as it is. I have given any info as to the needs of the car, as I know them, in the most honest manner. I have owned the car for almost 3 years and have put only a few hundred miles on it (summer only) and so may have overlooked or even missed some of it’s clunks, rattles, and little quirks. I am selling it due to a change in some plans for my family and my over abundance of cars. I need to concentrate on a new house and less cars.
Again, there is no warranty, implied or otherwise, on the automobile. I recommend you inspect the car before bidding. As per my previous statement, If you are uncomfortable buying the car as is, PLEASE DO NOT BID. Your bid is to buy the car, not for an opportunity to look at it and decide if you want to buy it.
PLEASE DON'T BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO BUY.
A nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 must be made within 72 hours of the end of auction. It must be made by PayPal or another acceptable means, such as a U.S.P.S. Money Order (sorry no checks). BALANCE is due within 10 days of the end of the auction or (which ever occurs first) prior to picking the car up, shipping the car, or receiving delivery of the car from the seller. BALANCE must be by wire transfer, cash or other funds that are verifiable and guaranteed at the time of exchange. I will work the details out with the purchaser. NEITHER THE CAR NOR THE TITLE WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL THE FUNDS ARE FULLY EXCHANGED, VERIFIED, AND USABLE IN MY ACCOUNT. DO NOT USE PAYPAL FOR THE FULL PAYMENT, ONLY FOR THE DEPOSIT, UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY THE FULL PAYPAL CHARGES IN ADDITION TO THE PURCHASE PRICE (approximately 3%).
The car is sold as is, where is, however, I will work with you and/or your shipper on being available. Buyer pays all shipping and insurance costs. The winning bidder is responsible for any and all title, plates, taxes, transfers, inspections, insurance, and any other charges related to the sale/purchase of the car.
As always, I retain the right to end the auction for any reason, including if sold through another venue.
I do not make "second chance" offers. Please be aware, if you receive a 2nd chance offer on this item, the offer is NOT from me. Please do not reply to it, but notify ebay immediately.
Please see my other auctions.
Have a great day and thank you for your interest in my vintage automobile
