| Up for sale is a 1988 Volvo 760 GLE sedan (740 with luxury package and V-6 engine). This car was the peak of luxury when built and features many options. Car is in good shape considering its age and its history of being a loyal daily runner for the same family for 20 years. At 187,000 miles it has been well cared for with oil /filter changes every 2500-3500 miles for its entire life. Powered by the V-6 engine it has the later Bosch LH Jetronic fuel injection/heads that brought power and reliability to the PRV engine- it is the same engine that powered the Delorean. New Michelin tires, starter, in tank fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, recent battery and recently replaced nivomat rear struts. The AC blows cold and the heat is hotter than any car I have ever owned. It does have an intermittent starting issue that I have been told is a bad ground, a really cheap fix. The car is inspected and is still in service. The headliner could use replacement and the driver’s seat has some small tears, fuel gauge needs soldering (replacement instrument cluster comes with car so DIY). Overall the car has been a loyal member of the family and it hurts to have to part with it. Occasionally it will entertain you with the normal Volvo issues but that is part of the Volvo experience. I am selling this car because I have too many and I had to choose between the Volvo or the Triumph, a tough choice. Car is sold with no implied warranty, as-is, buyer is responsible for pick up though I would be willing to help someone out who doesn’t live to far away. Thanks for looking.
