Willys 1961 Willys Wagon

Up for bid is my 1961 Willys Wagon 4x4. I have owned this great wagon for about 6 years. This wagon was completely disassembled and put back together ( every nut and bolt) in the mid 1990's.

These modifications have been done within the last 3 or 4 years.

Engine: 1968 Ford 302 rebuilt with low miles. Completely rebuilt the heads last year. Edelbrock manifold and 4bbl carb. Petronix ignition kit, new water pump and optima yellow top battery. Has custom built fan shroud and electric fan wired to thermostat.

Transmission: Completely rebuilt C-4 automatic that was professionally installed. Has custom trans. cooler located under front bumper. Lockar shifter in cab.

Transfer Case: Dana 18 twin stick.

Steering: Saginaw GM steering box added and cross braced. Power steering added with flaming river slip shaft + u joints. 32" custom steering colum with tilt wheel ( grant steering wheel) and blinker assembly.

Suspension: 1978 Jeep wagoneer Dana 44's front ( power disc brakes) and back. These were installed custom, to fit properly. Custom 2" lift springs were made by Alcan springs and installed. Almost new 31X10.5X15 BFG Goodrich all terrains are mounted on aluminum wheels. Custom skid plates protect transmission and transfer case.

Body: As clean a willys body as you will ever find! No rot ever! Paint is just okay. I would say a 5-6 out of 10. Has nicks and chips and some over-spray. All stainless is intact and in good condition.

Interior: Has original front seat in good shape. Dash is nice. Completely rewired during the original body-off in the 90's. Cd player. Has Hot Rod air conditioning/heat/defrost unit that works great. 2 speed electric wipers.

Has custom installed 8000lb winch on the front. Custom trailer hitch on the back with flat pin connector and round connector.

This wagon runs and drives very nicely. It was not built as a show car, but rather a dependable driver. I think it looks great and gets compliments where ever it goes. It is not 100% done and could use the following: Interior modernized, new carpet, etc... front windshield is cracked, speedometer (needs gear), tach and gas gauge ( needs sending unit) currently do not work. I lost the key for the door handles and rear hatch lock. Ignition switch tumblers are worn out. I have been as honest as I can about condition. If you have questions please ask. This wagon is sold as is. 

It also comes with two big boxes of extra parts.

I have well over 15,000 invested in this and hate to see it go, but must. This is a very low starting bid. Good luck!

NOTE: After inspecting where tailgate meets body, I did find 2 small spots of rust under the weather stripping. I looked hard and could not find any other anywhere. please see pics. I want to be as honest as possible regarding condition.
