| I have up for bid my brothers 1979 Ford F-150 4x4 Short bed show truck. This truck was on the cover of Four Wheeler Magazine in March of 2001. Click here for the article. It has been in storage for 2 years or more. The engine along with the torque converter has been replaced with a milder one that is described in the article. It is alot more drivable. As you will see in the pictures some rust has developed on the brake lines and some of the chromed parts. This truck has been entered in a few of the Four Wheel off-road Jamborees and has came away with many trophies including best in class, best in paint, any many other 1st place trophies at local car shows. It just needs some TLC now from sitting in storage. It was frame off restoration when completed in 2000.Every bolt had been removed, every wire harness cleaned. All original Ford OEM metal, grille and head light bezels and chrome moldings. Fenders and bedsides painted inside and out with Dupont Paint in Vermillion red clear coat. Frame is painted black DuPont Imron. New A/C lines and compressor. A/C is cold and works great for the year of this truck. Tilt steering and the original cruise control steering wheel, cruise is not installed.The seat is from a 1999 Superduty and was reupholstered. See below for additional details. - Engine: 460 ci. bored .030 over, mild cam, factory 4 bbl intake, 750 cfm holley, L & L Products fender well exit headers, 3 inch exhaust in and out of 40 series Flow Masters, pulleys and brackets. MSD distributor, Blaster II coil and 6AL ignition
- Transmission: C6 Automatic with B&M Shift kit.
- Transfer Case: NP 205 Gear driven
- Rear Differential: 9" Ford with gussets and 3:50 gears and Detroit Locker, completely rebuilt. Custom traction bars.
- Front Differential: Dana 44 Trac-Loc and 3:50 gears also completely rebuilt.
- Body: All original Ford OEM Metal, meaning besides and fenders were replaced with Ford parts, no Jap parts, Grille,head light bezels,chrome trim. New Harris 4-core Radiator . Painted in DuPont Clear coated Vermillion Red. Cab was completely stripped and painted off of the frame.
- Frame and Suspension: Sky Jacker 6" coils in front, 4" Blocks in rear, Rancho RS5000 shocks, Chrome radius arms, Chrome Transfer Skid plate, Chrome Tie Rods.
- Interior: 1999 Ford Superduty seat reupholstered, tilt and cruise steering wheel, Pioneer AM/FM cassette, Cold A/C converted to R134a, new carpet.
